Earn a Master's Degree Online in
Gifted and Talented Education

University of Connecticut Advance Story about Our Online Master's Program

For two decades our Three Summers Master's Degree has been a hallmark of teacher training in gifted education. We are pleased to now include an online master's degree option in collaboration with our Confratute program.

We offer a Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in Gifted and Talented Education. We provide three attendance options for Master's students:
  • Full time students complete all courses at the Storrs campus of the University of Connecticut,
  • Three Summers students attend summer classes at the Storrs campus of the University of Connecticut over three summers (four weeks for two summers and three weeks for one summer) and complete four courses online, or
  • Online students attend two Confratutes in the summer at the Storrs campus of the University of Connecticut (two weeks each*)  and complete eight* courses online.

The following are four possible Plans of Study for students enrolled in the ONLINE MASTER'S (students may also custom design a program with more courses per semester):

Online Option 1
You will attend two weeks of Confratute on the University of Connecticut campus as an introduction to your master's program. Following your Confratute experience, you will complete eight online courses (six required courses and two electives) through the Internet. Upon completion of the eight courses, you will return to the University of Connecticut for two weeks to attend a second Confratute as a capstone experience.
