Earn a Master's Degree Online in Education
with an Emphasis in Gifted and Talented Education

University of Connecticut Advance Story about Our Online Master's Program

For two decades our Three Summers Master's Degree has been a hallmark of teacher training in gifted education. We are pleased to now include an online master's degree option in collaboration with our Confratute program.

We offer a Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in Gifted and Talented Education. We provide three attendance options for Master's students:
  • Full time students complete all courses at the Storrs campus of the University of Connecticut,
  • Three Summers (on campus) students attend summer classes at the Storrs campus of the University of Connecticut over three summers complete core courses on campus and all electives online (June 23 - July 3, 2008) or
  • Online students attend two Confratutes in the summer at the Storrs campus of the University of Connecticut (two weeks each*)  and complete eight* courses online. (Confratute 2008 dates are July 6th - 18th)

Recent comment from an online student...

"When I began the on-line program back in January of 2003, I had no idea what to expect. But I never expected the amount of support, encouragement, and helpfulness that every last one of you has shown me over the past 3 ½ years. I think the natural tendency for on-line students is to feel a little disconnected when we come to UConn itself-but when we meet all of you and you remember our names, faces, and personal tidbits about each of us, we can't help but feel like we belong. Thank you for the exceptional manner in which you do your jobs and for making me feel like a part of the UConn family!"
      - Nicole Meier, Wisconsin
