SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL COMPONENTS OF THE GIFTED

 

 

Syllabus: This is an overview course that introduces students to some of the major social issues and emotional vulnerabilities of many gifted individuals, including underachievement, perfectionism, hypersensitivities, and asynchronous development. Students are required to contribute postings twice a week and complete varied assignments on topics of their choice. Assignments include a reaction paper, a film or book analysis, and a major project.
