Description:

The SPARK Program provides services for students who exhibit a need for educational activities that extend curriculum beyond the scope of regular classroom instruction. During the first, second, and third grade, all students receive enrichment. At the end of third grade, students are identified who will participate in other components of the program. These include time in the resource room to explore Type 1 and Type II activities, as well as the pursuit of Type III investigations. An 'Enrichment Block" offers opportunities to all students to engage in higher order thinking skills as well as times to select 'blocks' that are of personal interest to them.

Cluster groups of high ability students allow students to work individually or together on advanced topics of personal interest. Field studies and mentorships are available to support student's work.
