Description:

We believe that gifted and /or talented students are those, who by virtue of outstanding qualities, can be serviced through Derby's GTeam. Differentiated, educational programs and services beyond those normally provided by the regular school program are offered. This allows students who select the GTeam an opportunity to realize their contribution to self and society. GTeam students are self nominated or recommended by teachers, parents or counselors. Since students work on an independent basis, those interested write a contract that spells out exactly what is to be completed. At the end of the contract, a certificate is granted, and notification is placed in the student's either permanent file or permanent record.
