Dr. Marcia Gentry serves as associate director of the Gifted Education
Resource Institute at Purdue University. She frequently contributes to the gifted
education literature and regularly participates in regional, state, national,
and international gifted education venues. Her research interests include student
attitudes toward learning, effective uses of instructional grouping, alternative
delivery methods, secondary gifted students, and the discovery and development
of talent in children from diverse backgrounds. She has served as the SIG secretary
