Types of Research

Researchers and textbook authors categorize the types of research in a variety of ways. We will use the system proposed by the authors of our textbook. For now, it is sufficient to be aware that a variety of types exist and that researchers may differ slightly in how they are are organized and named. Within each type there may also be subcategories. During this course we will spend time studying most of the types proposed by our text authors.
